AL-6XN® high alloy is a superaustenitic stainless steel which was developed by Allegheny Ludlum Corporation, and has found widespread acceptance in many industrial applications. It’s corrosion-residence has made it any idea choice for applications as broad as acidic juice to absorber systems on power plant SCRs and FGDs.
Unlike flange bolting applications, where the bolts are often only seeing limited environmental interactions, AL6XN® fasteners are often specified in internal, wetted components. Good corrosion resisitance allows for submerged applications in a variety of tank & vessel applications.
